Obituary

Angeline Marie DiMedio of Newark, Delaware passed away on June 2, 2021, at age 81. The world lost a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Angie was born and raised in Wilmington, DE and graduated from Conrad High School.
She married her high school sweetheart Philip DiMedio, and they had 2 children, Rosemarie and Michael. For 20 years she had a successful career in real estate and was a member of the Million Dollar Club.

Angie loved watching the horse races at Delaware Park with her husband Phil. She also enjoyed traveling. Amongst her favorite travels was a tour of Italy with her husband. Above all she enjoyed being with her family and her friends. Sharp as a tack, she could chat for hours and was always there for her family. A true matriarch, Angie was smart, sassy and always the boss. She inspired many with her strong will and strength.

Angeline was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Philip; her son, Michael DiMedio; mother and father Rose and Michael Struzynski; and brothers, Joseph and Francis Poniecki.

She is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie and son in law Matt McCoury; grandchildren, Toni, Andrea, Nicole, Brittani, Matthew, Maria, Christina and Max; great-grandchildren, Angelina, Evan, Jonah, Elias, Astrid and Mason; sister, Maryann (Paul) Cate; her brother-in-law, Joseph (Kathy) DiMedio; sisters in law, Anna (Jim) Brown, Marie Coburn and Lucille (Tom) Caron, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly by all.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 8 from 6-8pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy. Wilmington, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 9 at 11:00 am at Holy Angels R.C. Church, 82 Possum Park Rd, Newark, DE. Private interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery.
