Anita Cruz passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Anita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always put her family first. She had a kind and generous spirit, finding joy in the simple pleasures in life. She loved all animals and would immediately give the pets new nicknames. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, shopping and vacationing at Rehoboth Beach, always ready with her expandable bag to collect our winnings. She had a sweet tooth for candies and was a life-long Miami Dolphins fan, especially during the Dan Marino era.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Hector M. Cruz, Sr.; daughter – Ana M. Prosceno, Sons – Hector M. Cruz, Jr. and Ralph A. Cruz; Grandchildren – Shannon M. McFarland (Johathan); Michael A. Prosceno (Jenna), and Adalyn D. Cruz; Great Grandchildren – Colin P. McFarland, Brennan M. Thomas, and Dylan A. Prosceno.

The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the hospice providers who helped care for her in her final days.
