Anita Linn Wright
Of Wilmington, age 61, passed away comfortably with family by her side on January 19, 2017. Anita excelled in athletics, especially competitive swimming and retired from New Castle County government after 32 years.
Anita is at peace in the company of her husband and best friend, Donald, her parents Loren and Gertrude Linn, and brothers-in-law Stephen Smigel and John Simmons. She is survived by her three sisters Janet Smigel and Janet's children Sharon (Lou) Gray and Stephen (Susan) Smigel, Barbara (Michael) Alfree and Patricia Linn, stepson Jeff Wright and grandson Jeffrey, in-laws Roseanne Wright, James (Kathy) Wright and Sandra Simmons, an aunt and uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews, life-long girlfriends and caring neighbors. Anita loved all animals, especially her Yorkipoo, Molly.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 29, 12 noon at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, 301 Lock Street, Chesapeake City, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Brandywine Valley SPCA, 600 South St., New Castle, DE 19720.
