Anne Marie Blanche Ledoux Haws
Age 96 of Newark, DE
Passed away peacefully, at home, on Wed., Oct, 15, 2014.
Blanche was a great seamstress and painter. Her artwork and knitting can be found in many of our homes. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Blanche was born in 1918 when the Sox won their last World Series. She was ever faithful to her team, even during their brief 86 year championship hiatus. Blanche could not have been more thrilled when the Red Sox won again in 2004, 2007, and 2013.
Blanche moved from Fall River MA, to Wilmington with her husband, Mason. Together, they lived and raised their family in Delaware for 67 years.
Blanche is survived by her children, Brian William Haws and his wife, Rosemary, and Paulette Haws and her partner, Janet Cassian; her 3 grandchildren, Kimberly, Michael, and Bill; and her 6 great-grandchildren, Russell, Rebecca, Cael, Sianleigh, Erin, and Gabrielle.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret R.C. Church, 2431 Frazer Rd, Newark, DE 19702, on Tues., Oct 21, 2014 at 11:00am. Friends may call at the church from 10:00- 11:00am, Tues. morning. Blanche's final services and burial will be held back home, in her beloved Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made to St. Margaret of Scotland St. Vincent dePaul Society c/o St. Margaret of Scotland Church.
