Anthony J. "Tony" DiAngelo

Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022.

Tony was born and raised in New Castle. He was a proud 1974 graduate of William Penn High School, where he excelled in both football and wrestling. As he got older Tony used his knowledge and skill to become a winning coach at St. Peter' School.

Tony was a dedicated employee for the State of Delaware for many years. In his spare time, he was an active member of the St. Anthony Club. He also helped to start Colin Kelley Catfish Tournament and remained a committee member until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jill, his mother, Catherine, and his sister, Sheila.

Tony will be dearly missed by his brothers, Mario (Sharon), Joseph, David (Annette), and Mark; his father, Mario as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 521 Harmony St., New Castle, DE on Tuesday, February 15 at 11:30am. Friends may call at the church from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment will take place after Mass at the adjoining cemetery.
