Anthony W. Perregrino
Age 98 of Wilmington
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
Anthony was born in Wilmington to the late Angelo and Mary Perregrino. He grew up in Wilmington with his two brothers graduating from Wilmington High School in 1945. He enlisted in the US Navy serving at a submarine base in Key West during WWII. When he returned home, he married the love of his life, Ersilia. Together they shared many happy years raising their family.
Anthony spent his career at Wilmington Finishing retiring after many years as supervisor. He was a devout catholic and lifelong member of Corpus Christi Parish. Anthony was a member of the Knight of Columbus and volunteered in many capacities in the church including the carnival, marriage encounter, and post cana.
In his free time Anthony loved to paint and was a talented artist. He was a skilled photographer and shot many weddings of friends and family. He had a knack for building model ships and created them out of only the draft plans crafting each piece by hand. Anthony loved to fish and found peace in spending time on the water. But more than anything Anthony loved his family. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his wife, Ersilia, and his brothers, Angelo and Joseph.
He leaves behind his four children, Tony (Betty), Donna Price (Bill), Michael (Charlene), and Joseph (Kelly Halligan); his 13 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass for Anthony on Wednesday, May 14 at 7:00pm at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 905 New Rd., Wilm. DE 19805. Friends may call at the church from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Interment will take place privately at All Saints Cemetery.
