Beatrice Patricia "Bea-Bea" Norvell,
Age 73 of New Castle
Passed peacefully in the comfort of her home in New Castle on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
She was born in Delaware, to the late George and Beatrice Creswell.
In 1969, Bea married her loving husband, Clinton Norvell. Together they lived in New Castle and raised their daughter, Melissa. Along her journey, she gained many friends whom she gathered with frequently on dinner dates, shopping trips, and playing cards. Bea's favorite dinner spot was Crabby Dick's. They had the best crab cakes and orange crushes! Bea was also the undisputed champion of 500 Rummy, beating everyone she played. For Bea summers meant spending extra time with family and friends and enjoying Lewes Beach as much as possible. Her latest obsession was shopping and spoiling her great-grandson.
If you had the chance to meet Bea, you would know her love for her family. Her most cherished times were spent with them. She will be remembered as being the one who will grab the occasional margarita or mimosa on a special day. The sweetest soul with a hint of occasional sass, the one who could out dress everyone with ease. The most kindhearted, selfless, loving, and beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her brother, George A. Creswell Jr. Navy Senior Chief (ret), and her dear friend, Linda DeAngelis.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Clinton; her daughter, Melissa Margis (Bob); her grandchildren, Robert Jr., Colin, Alyssa (Kevin Banning Jr.), and Nicholas; her great grandson, Kevin III; and her sister, Mary Moore. Bea is also survived by her bonus grandson and great grandson, Seth and Beckham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 19 at 11:00 am at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 521 Harmony St., New Castle DE 19720. Burial will take place immediately following Mass at All Saints Cemetery.
