Blanche Emma Thompson
Passed away peacefully at home on Sun., Oct. 30, 2011, at the age of 92.
She was born Dec. 10, 1918, in Kennett Square, PA, to Arthur and Annie Malin. She was the youngest of four sisters, Ethel, Ruth, and Hazel, all who have preceded her in death. Blanche was also preceded in death by her husband, Royall Thompson, her daughter, Barbara Croll, and two grandchildren, Roy David and Joseph Michael Thompson.
Blanche is survived by two sons, Royall (Winifred) and Douglas (Loretta) Thompson; 10 grandchildren, Cathy (Jim) McAdams, Doug (Kelly) Croll, Theresa Oldham, Rosemarie Thompson, Jim Thompson, Annemarie (Tom) Abbott, Paul (Shannon) Thompson, Patricia (Rich) Gavin, John (Nicole) Thompson, and Robert (Kathy) Thompson; and 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her niece, Greta Jewett, and her nephews, Charles Malin and Ronald Eichelberger.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, on Sat., Nov. 5, at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment will be private at Silverbrook Cemetery.
