Obituary

Bobbie Jean Chelucci Wilmington, Delaware —
Age 53 Bobbie Jean Chelucci, 53, of Wilmington, Delaware,

Passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 25, 1972, Bobbie lived her life with extraordinary compassion, creativity, and love. From a young age, she displayed a deep connection to animals and nature—catching frogs, snakes, and toads at the neighborhood creek, helping neighbors garden, and caring for every creature she could find. Her love for animals became a lifelong calling. Bobbie's first paid job was perfectly suited for her—working at a pet store. She later worked at a well-known animal boarding center, volunteered at shelters, and even spent time at a veterinary office. Whether through her work, her home, or her heart, she helped countless animals find love, safety, and belonging. She valued character over pedigree—in animals and in people alike. A gifted and self-taught artist, Bobbie's paintings, sculptures, and creations reflected her deep reverence for life and beauty. Her art, laughter, and gentle spirit brightened every room she entered. She was also a massage therapist and spiritual practitioner who believed in the healing power of touch and love. She attended Delaware Technical Community College, the University of Delaware, and completed Spiritual Practitioner training at the Emerson Institute, deepening her understanding of compassion and service. Bobbie was also a cherished member of the Awakened Heart Spiritual Center and the New Thought Philadelphia community, where she found joy, inspiration, and purpose in spiritual fellowship. Her spiritual journey reflected her belief that love, creativity, and connection are sacred acts of service. For nearly 27 years, Bobbie was a dedicated member of the Franklin Fibre-Lamitex Corporation family, where she served as Lead Estimator. She often said Franklin Fibre was her second home, and her coworkers were like family. She was admired for her diligence, creativity, and genuine care for everyone she worked with—relationships that meant the world to her. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being the devoted mother of her beloved son, Cyrus Elijah Chelucci, whom she shared with his father, Marcus Gregory. From his first moments to his becoming a fine young man, she cherished every day they shared. Her love for him was boundless, her guidance unwavering, and her pride immeasurable. Bobbie is survived by her son, Cyrus Elijah Chelucci; her loving father, Jack Chelucci; her brothers, Bruce Chelucci and Michael Cullen; her dog, Giovanni Chelucci; and her life partner of many years, Courtney Gale, who was by her side with unwavering love and devotion. She is also survived by many dear friends and extended family members whose lives she touched deeply. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Penny Davis, herself a gifted artist who inspired Bobbie's own creative path. Bobbie's favorite quote was, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." Those words were her truth and her legacy. To honor her life, she would want others to carry her torch: Adopt an animal. Love the earth. Create something beautiful. Bake, plant, dance, sing, explore, and love deeply. Be light. Be love. Be the change. Be free. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that a tree be planted in her memory and that donations be made to the Delaware Humane Society, honoring Bobbie's lifelong love for all living things.
