Carole A. Dempsey
Carole Ann (Achenbach) Dempsey, age 85, was born in Wilmington, Delaware September 21, 1932 and passed away on July 20, 2018. She was the daughter of Edward and Catherine (McKenna) Achenbach. Carole graduated from Ursuline Academy, and as a secretary, she worked for the DuPont Company Legal Department, Patent Division prior to becoming a devoted mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Dempsey in 2012 after 55 years of marriage.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald F. Dempsey (Michelle) and Edward A. Dempsey (Lisa); and her daughter, Aimee C. Neff (Keith); three granddaughters, Jessica Dempsey Wolinski (William), Megan Dempsey and Shannon Neff; three grandsons, Beau Neff, Collin and Connor Dempsey.
Friends and family are invited to the visitation at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy. on July 25 from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on July 26 at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd. at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
