Age 90 of Wilmington
Passed away with family members at her side on May 28, 2026.
Caroline was born in Wilmington, attended Wilmington High School, and later moved to Elsmere with her husband, Charles, to raise their family. Her early career began as a Sales Associate at Strawbridge & Clothier before owning and running Charles Liquors and the Deli Delight with her husband.
Caroline was most devoted to her family and had a love of sharing the holidays with family and friends. Whether Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas or combination 4th of July & various relatives' birthday parties, Caroline's smile and cooking welcomed all who attended.
Caroline was a Parishioner of Corpus Christi R.C. Church and regularly attended activities at Oak Grove Senior Center, especially when Bingo was the main event.
Caroline is preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Menaquale; her son, Charles F. Menaquale Jr.; parents, John and Barbara Bogucki; brothers, Eddie, Stanley, Henry, Joe, and John; and sisters, Sophie, Helen, and Joan.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Ann Manuel (Tom), son Nicholas (Debbie); grandchildren, Michael, TJ, Caroline, Shelly, Forrest, Nicholas, Anthony, and Cody; and great grandchildren Adriana, Dominic, Gianna, Ryan, Abby, Forrest, Ethan, Carleigh, and Josie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 905 New Road, Wilmington, DE 19805, on Monday June 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow Mass at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
