Carolyn (Boyd) Brooks

The wonderful life of Carolyn Brooks ended peacefully February 25th, 2011
surrounded by family. Daughter of the late William & Thelma Boyd, and
predeceased by her first husband Cecil Roy Hoskins, her sister Barbara
Craddock, and her infant son Ralph, Carolyn is survived by her husband
of 38 years Bud Brooks, her three sisters Mary Alice Carpenter, Edna
Jean Hawkins and husband Dave, and Connie Cox and husband Jim, her two
sons John Brooks and fiancée Gina and Cecil Hoskins, Jr. and wife
Susan, 5 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and many loving
friends.

Born on May 24th, 1939 in Kilsyth, WV, Carolyn was raised with
traditional values, including loyalty, hard-work, and a family-first
mentality. Her family will remember long summers swimming in her pool
and our many cookouts. Carolyn was a lover of life and she always had a
smile when she saw you.

Carolyn passes onto a better place. Her memorial services will be
conducted on Monday, February 28th, at 7 P.M. at Liberty Fellowship
Church, 245 Building J, Quigley Blvd., New Castle, DE 19720. Visitation will
be from 5 P.M. - 7 P.M. All are welcome to come celebrate Carolyn's
life with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
Liberty Fellowship Church and/or Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Rd.,
Wilmington, DE 19810.
