Charles K. Cummings
"Chas"

Age 50, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Francis Hospital on Saturday, December 26, 2009.

He was a 1976 graduate of Conrad High School and was a member of the Conrad Band. He worked for over 30 years at St. Francis Hospital. He was both a high school referee and baseball umpire for over 20 years. He also enjoyed playing softball with the Green Gate Pub. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies Fan. Chas grew up as a member of the St. Thomas Parish in Wilmington.

Charles is the son of the late John R. Cummings Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother Edward V. Cummings. He is survived by his mother, Mary T. Cummings; his brothers, John R. Cummings, Jr. and William M. Cummings; his sisters, Mary T. Cummings, Ellen M. Deely and her husband James, Kathleen M. Eckton and her husband Ronald; his nieces, Jessica, Kara, and Danielle; and nephew, Daniel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas R. C. Church, 4th St. & Bancroft Pkwy., Wilmington on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 9 a.m. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Sunday, January 3rd from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.
