Charles D. Davis
Born May 7, 1933 passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 21, 2011
Charlie worked for Diamond State Telephone Company for 30 years. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He enjoyed playing bingo at the Oak Grove Senior Center and St. Matthews Senior Center. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish. Charlie enjoyed fishing and playing cards. He was a beloved husband and devoted father. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was the son of the late Charles H. Davis and Josephine (Taylor) Davis. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Francis Elrod, and brother, John Davis. He is survived by his wife, Dolores E. Davis; his children, Charles E. Davis of Ocean View, Donna M. Reed (Richard) of New Castle, John T Davis (Lihong) of Newark; his grandchildren, Haley, Ethan, Delaney, Conner, Richie, and Cameron; brothers, William Davis (Sissy) of New Castle, Edward Davis (Dodie) of Elsmere; sisters, Erma Roberts (Dan) of New Castle, Shirley Davis of Wilmington, and Betty Davis of Wilmington.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R. C. Church, New Rd., Elsmere on Thursday morning, August 25, 2011 at 10 a.m. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Wednesday evening, August 24, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, Newark, DE.
