Charles William McMunn III, age 82, of New Castle, DE

Charles passed away on January 15, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Charles was born on October 15, 1942 to Charles W. McMunn Jr. and Mildred (Kirby) McMunn in Wilmington, DE. After graduating for Wilmington High School, he attended Temple University and soon after began a 40 year career at DuPont Industries, retiring in 2004. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Gladys (Johnson) in1962 and together had two sons, Charles (Chuck) W. IV and Kevin.

Charles and Gladys, married almost 63 years February 3, 2025, enjoyed many years cruising the Chesapeake on their boat "The Margaritaville" as well as living in their favorite location Panama City Beach, FL. They often traveled to Cancun and Arizona, loving the beach, warm weather and Mexican food! He and Gladys moved back to the area after the birth of their beloved grandchildren, twins Elizabeth and Shane McMunn, born in 2006.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mildred.

He is survived by his loving wife Gladys, sons and daughter in laws', Chuck and Lori (Wineberg), Kevin and
Marybeth (Brown) as well as grandchildren, Elizabeth and Shane McMunn.

Services are private.
