Charles Joseph Pence
Age 59 of New Castle
Went to join his heavenly family on Friday, November 28, 2014.
Charles was a loving and devoted husband, father and brother. He had a very kind and gentle spirit and always made time for his family and friends.
Charles was a member of the first graduating class at St. Mark's High School in 1973. He was a dedicated employee of Wilmington Country Club for over 20 years and a faithful parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Old New Castle. He had a passion for music, sports and the beach, and greatly enjoyed playing with his dog, Lulu.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Helenmary Pence, and his brother, Johnny.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Barbieri) Pence; son, Charles A. Pence; sisters Trudy (Rich) and Helen; brothers Peter Pence, Ted Pence (Judy), and Joe Pence; his aunt, Trudy Bove; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 521 Harmony St, New Castle, DE, on Thurs., Dec 4, at 11:00am. Friends may call at the Church from 10:00am – 11:00am. Interment in St. Peter the Apostle Cemetery.
