Chester H. Rybicki
Age 89, of Lewes, DE, formerly of Murray Manor in Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at Harbor Healthcare, surrounded by his loving family.
Chester was born November 3, 1919, to the late Stanislaw and Alexandra (Harubin) Rybicki. He was a veteran of World War II and was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad until his retirement in 1980. His favorite past-times included walking, crabbing, gardening, mowing lawns, visiting with friends at the VA Hospital in Elsmere, going to Delaware Park, and to the New Castle Farmers Market. He also loved the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Selma, in 2005. He is survived by his children Ronald Rybicki (Patricia), Diane LaFrance (Betty), and Richard Rybicki; stepson Gary Rose (Suggie); grandchildren Christine, Nicole, Ronald, Daina, Shelby, Danielle, Tiffany, RJ, and Jessica; 7 great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog Misty.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, on Thursday, October 22nd at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday morning. Interment will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations will be graciously accepted by the family in care of Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, DE 19805 to assist with expenses.
