Went home to her family in heaven on Monday, October 11, 2016. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer and passed peacefully under the care of Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Hospital.
Christine was born on May 16, 1948 in Wilmington, to the late Hedwig (Hedy) and Dominic (Smilin' Dan) Danish.
Chris retired in 2010 after a career comprised of 25 years with the DuPont Company and 15 years with Christiana Hospital. In her younger years, she enjoyed vacationing with her family and friends in Wildwood New Jersey. She had traveled to the Bahamas and Mexico and spent time relaxing in Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale and Wellington, FL. with her family and late sister, Diane Marie. In her retirement, grandma Chrissy lived with her family and was grateful to be able to spend quality time with them, they particularly loved shopping and attending events such as the Polish Festival which Chris was able to partake in this year.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Pasierb; and her three grandchildren, Sierra 11, Desirae 8, and Logan 2, all of whom were the absolute joy and sunshine of her life. Christine is also survived by her sister, Karen Danish Poole (Douglas); brother, Dan Danish; nephew, Nick Danish, all of Wilmington, DE; her nephew, Francis Norris (Natalie) and their children, Tristan and Callie of Rhode Island; her niece Shari Ann Poserina of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and an extended group of relatives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 am. At St Hedwig's Church, 408 South Harrison St. Wilmington, DE. 19805. Friends may call at the church from 10:00-11:00 am.
