Passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2023.
Clara was born and raised in Wilmington. She was a dedicated employee of New Castle County. Clara worked in many capacities for the county before retiring after 42 years of service.
She loved to travel and visit casinos with her husband, Lou. Clara was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending her down time knitting. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lou DeBoto; her son, Jack Davidson; her grandchildren, Robert and Anthony Davidson; and 3 great grandchildren. Clara is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Virginia Dennison and Charlotte Paniccone; her cousin, Lorraine Hickman; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 521 Harmony St., New Castle, DE, on Thursday, Aug 17 at 11:00am. Friends may call at the church from 10:00am-11:00am. Burial will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Clara's name to Faithful Friends Animal Society, 12 Germay Dr., Wilm., DE 19804, or a charity of your choice.
