Cody Kegelman
Age 14, died tragically on Monday, May 30, 2011.
Cody attended Tender Loving Kare, McVey Elementary and Gauger-Cobbs Middle School. He was a fun-loving boy, loved by everyone who had the privilege to know him. He enjoyed playing soccer for several years at goalie position. He started playing baseball two years ago and was quickly learning the game. He enjoyed swimming, basketball, and riding his dirt bike. He also loved football, hunting and fishing. He had a great smile and always made people laugh. Cody wanted to help people in need. He enjoyed helping his dad with cars, playing horse with his mom, and hanging out with his older brother, Michael A. Kegelman. Cody would have graduated in June and attended Hodgkins VoTech in the Fall. His favorite sport teams were the Eagles, and the Philadelphia Phillies. He will be missed and loved always by his entire family and all his friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul F. Dougherty, Sr.; and his uncle, Glenn M. Dougherty. He is survived by his parents, Thomas A. Kegelman and Kimberly A. (Dougherty) Kegelman; his paternal grandparents, Matthew R. and Mary C. Kegelman; his maternal grandmother, Dolores A. Dougherty; his uncles and aunts, Paul F. Dougherty, Jr., Carl and Diane Force, John Kegelman, Matthew and Mary N. Kegelman, Jerry and Mary C. Kegelman, Joseph and Alissa Kegelman, Mary and Frank Bellomo, Christine and Michael Smith, Bernadette Kegelman, James and Natalie Kegelman, Daniel and Karen Kegelman; his cousins, Katie, Stephanie, Laura, Michelle, Jessica, Julia, Timothy, John, Christopher, James, Lindsay, Matthew, Jordan, Sarah, Christine, Margaret, Bridgette, Mary, Anna, Elisabeth, and Nina.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas R. C. Church, 4th & Bancroft Pkwy., Wilmington on Friday, June 3rd at 12 noon. Friends may call at St. Thomas R. C. Church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery.
