David P. Lohr
February 3, 1960 – October 22, 2011
Born in Centre, PA, resided in Wilmington, DE.
He was the son of the late John Lohr and Frances (Muirhead) Lohr. He is survived by his children, Jeremiah Lohr, Valorie Barnett (Andrew); grandson, Aiden Barnett; brother, John Lohr of Mill Hall, PA; sisters, Sally Laubscher of Ridgeland, SC, and Alice Lohr of Belfont, PA; his special friend, Jacqueline Colasanti and her grandsons, Steven Jiminez, and Justin Colasanti.
He served in the Army 1978-1984, afterwards he attempted several different ventures which lead him to work as a butcher with Acme Markets then Shop Rite. He considered himself a gourmet chef, he loved to create with food. David also enjoyed hunting, fishing, exploring wildlife, searching for antiques, and spending time with family and friends. David will be remembered for his sense of humor and helping those around him.
A memorial will be held at 2 pm on November 5, 2012 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Assn., 1501 Casho Mill Rd., Newark, DE 19711, or Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
