Dion Patrick Rossiter

Age 52, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, September 12, 2010.

Dion was a 1976 graduate of Conrad High School.

He founded and operated his own business Rossiter Restorations, Inc. for 17 years. He performed 25 years of dedicated service to Wilmington Fire Dept. and began his career on March 18th of 1985. He first served with Ladder Company 4 and went on to serve with Ladder 1, A Platoon, Engine 6, B Platoon, Engine 1, B Platoon, Engine 3, A Platoon, and most recently he was a member of Tower 2, A Platoon.

Dion looked forward to their yearly vacations to OBX. He loved to spend quality times with his girls, who he was very proud of. Dion always enjoyed taking his dog "Spy" to the park and throwing him balls. One of Dion's great pleasures was breakfast at Cosmos, Crossroads, or Newport Restaurant. He loved dinners at the Little Saigon Restaurant. He was an avid Flyers Fan.

Dion is survived by his wife of 21 years, Margaret E. (Petrucci) Rossiter; his daughters, Shaina and Cassandra; his mother, Geraldine Rossiter; his brother, Martin; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Darilyn Petrucci. He was a special friend to Richard Severance; and also a friend to Bill W. and his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Martin J. Rossiter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth R. C. Church, South Clayton St., Wilmington, on Thursday morning, September 16th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Wednesday evening, September 15th from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.
