Dominic James Bernardo, Sr. "Nicky" age 90 of Wilmington, DE passed away Saturday September 25th in the evening at Christiana Hospital.

Born in Wilmington Delaware, Dominic was the son of the late Vincent and Mary Bernardo.

Dominic was a plaster by trade and worked at General Motors for 31 years, where he was a master of all trades. He enjoyed playing cards with friends, doing crossword puzzles, going to the mall and visiting family.

Dominic is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret Mary Bernardo; and brothers, Vincent and Richard. He is survived by son, Dominic Bernardo Jr; daughter, Debbie Abrams; grandchildren, Tammy Webb (Cedric), Joseph Bernardo (Shelbie), Kendra Bernardo, Heather Walker (Nate); and great- granddaughters, Kelis Webb and Adaline Bernardo; brother, Paul Bernardo (Arlene); brother-in-law, Raymond Merritt (OJ), Charles Merritt; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Monday, October 4th at 6-8 PM at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington DE 19805. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, October 5 at 9 AM at St. Elizabeth Church. 809 S. Broom St Wilmington De 19805. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery following mass.
