Donald Edward Campbell, Jr., age 68, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 surrounded by his family.

Born June 20, 1957 in Wilmington. He was the son of the late Donald Edward Campbell, Sr. and Mary Ethel (Mulrooney) Campbell. Donnie attended grade school at Corpus Christi and graduated in 1975 from Salesianum High School.

A dedicated union electrician, Donnie was a proud 48-year member of IBEW Local 313. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Colleen (Joyce) Campbell, his children Matthew Campbell (Lauren), Matthew Joyce (Holly Jones), and Ryan Campbell (Alexis), his siblings Patricia Boyle (G. James), Paul Campbell (Jeanne), and Dianne Markland (Christopher) and his many nieces and nephews.

In his younger days and throughout his life Donnie was a huge sports fan and shared his love of sports with his children. He coached all three of his sons in baseball and was an active volunteer and coach in MOT, Elsmere, and Capitol little leagues. He also helped start the Wilmington Warthogs traveling baseball team.

An avid outdoorsman, Donnie found peace on the water and in the woods. While he was a skilled waterman with a passion for crabbing, his happiest moments were spent hunting duck, deer, and geese, a sport at which he excelled.

A devoted husband and a proud father, Donnie's life was defined by the deep love he had for his family. He was their biggest supporter and their most reliable guide, and he will be dearly missed every single day.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 19th, 2026 at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805. A public visitation will start at 10:00 AM, with services starting at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
