Donald L. Goelzhauser

Age 91of Wilmington

Passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025.

Don faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. When he returned home, he started working for Delmarva Power. He was a dedicated employee for over 30 years, retiring in 1995.

Family was the most important thing in Don's life. Everything he did was for the betterment of his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise (Mazzeo) Goelzhauser; his granddaughter, Jennifer Fagan; his son-in-law, John X. Fagan; and his sister, Marlene Giansanti.

Don is survived by his daughters, Donna Harrison (Darryl), Susan Fowler (Steven), and Michele Ferrier (Lou); his grandchildren, Melissa (Ray dec.), John (Nicole), Julie (Anthony), Michael, and Matthew; his 4 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Babette Bogia.

To honor Don's wishes all service will be held privately. Interment will take place at Cathedral Cemetery.
