Donna Jane (Onley) Stokes, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in the home she shared with her husband, Bobby Stokes in Ocean City, MD.

Donna was born on August 23, 1955, to Wendell and Rosemarie Onley of Wilmington, DE. She was one of five children, attended Richardson Park and Conrad Schools, and began working for DuPont until her retirement.

Donna is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband Robert Stokes, married for 43 years and her children, Dustin (Aly), Jason (Joy), Robby (Marybeth); her Grandchildren, Chappy, Poppy, Kaden, Knox, Jaden, Dominic and Isabella; her siblings, Linda (Ed), Karen (Jeff), Timmy (Michele), and Steven (Karyn); her in-laws, Gary (Mary) and Cindy (Pete) as well as many nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered in the hearts of everyone who knew her!

Donna had a warm, caring, and welcoming personality. She lit up the room with her contagious laugh and smile and was a delight to be around. She was a beautiful person that cared for everyone before herself, especially her family. Donna loved spending time with family and friends and was always prepared for every special occasion. She loved all holidays, shopping, eating out, going to the beach, and boating (Bobby named all their boats after her). She enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren surf, fish, play softball, and basketball. She was always smiling and laughing at her husband's sense of humor.

Remembrance service will be held at Krienen- Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy Elsmere, DE on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 12pm. Visitation for friends and family will be held prior -10:30 am to 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, consider donating blood because she was an avid donor herself or donate to Pancreatic Cancer @ Pancan.org in Donna's memory.

A celebration of life will be held in Ocean City, MD, date to be determined.
