Doris R. Barker
Age 77, passed away peacefully on Sat., March 28, 2009, at home with her daughters, Denise, and her fiancé, Malcom, and Diane, and her beloved grand-daughters, Amanda and Raelyn at her side.
Doris was proud of her career as a barmaid at Lou's Tavern, the VFW, and the Moose Lodge. She loved visiting Wildwood, Atlantic City, and Delaware Park, and was an avid fan of the Flyers and NASCAR.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mary Broomhall, and her husband, Raymond F. Barker.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Denise Blevins and her fiancé, Malcom Swift, Diane Rutkowski, Mary Lyn Moroney, and her husband, Terry; her sons, Theodore Uniatowski, and his wife, Sandra, Joseph Uniatowski, and Anthony Uniatowski, and his wife, Carole; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, on Wed., April 1, at 7:00 pm. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00-7:00 pm. Interment will be private.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Heartland Hospice for their loving care of Doris during her illness.
