Obituary

Doris Lupinski, age 94, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, Dec 10, 2021. Born Doris Fisher in Plains, PA on March 5, 1927, to her parents Stanley and Mary Fisher. She grew up in a large family with two sisters, Josephine and Joanne, and three brothers, Leonard, Thomas, and Robert. Doris married her husband, Stanley Lupinski, in 1950 before moving to Delaware and raising their family. She went on to work in the healthcare field at Wilmington General and Christiana Care until retiring in 1992.
A deeply devout catholic, Doris was a member of Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church and rarely missed daily mass. She was a dedicated member of The Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality and often served as a Eucharistic Minister. She volunteered frequently with the church and especially loved her time providing meals at the Emmanuel Dining Room. Doris had a talent for crafts and excelled in quilting, sewing and ceramics. She remained active into her eighties and often spent time exercising with friends at the Claymore Senior Center. She enjoyed travelling and visited many breathtaking places throughout her lifetime.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Lupinski, her daughter-in-law, Sharon Lupinski, and all her siblings.
Doris will be dearly missed by her children, Deborah Knox (Tom Harkins), Diane Woolman (Doug), Thomas Lupinski, and Donna DeBevec (Michael); her grandchildren, Julie Knox, Elaine Hartzell, Melissa Woolman, Brian Woolman, Thomas Lupinski, Lauren DeHart, Kaitlyn Lupinski, Stephanie Ash, Zachary DeBevec, and Danielle DeBevec; her great grandchildren, Evan, Cameron, Mason, Olivia, Connor, Taylor, Aly, Ady, Riley, and Logan; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
