Dorothea L. "Dottie" (Popo) Gott

Age 70, of New Castle, died Friday, August 13, 2010.

Dottie retired from the Colonial School District as a custodian for 30 years.

She was a member of St. Anthony and St. Gabriel Clubs in New Castle.

Dottie enjoyed playing bocce, shuffleboard, and bingo. She also liked taking trips to Atlantic City, and Delaware Park. She enjoyed her home away from home in Indian Acres on the Chesapeake.

She was the daughter of the late John Popo and Ruth Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her son, John "Huck" Gott; her daughter, Deborah Gott; and her brother, John Mitchell. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Gott; her son, David "Luke" Gott Jr. and his companion Susan Alexander; her granddaughters, Mary DeAscanis and her husband Galileo, and Erica Cochran; her great grandchildren, Galileo, Edwin, Saveria, and Brianna; her sisters, Mary Perina Springer, and Virginia Carlo; her brother, Daniel Mitchell; many in-laws; and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service as Krienen Funeral Home, 34 West 6th St., New Castle on Wednesday morning, August 18th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at Krienen Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment in the Glebe Cemetery, New Castle.
