Obituary

Dorothy M. Cline

Age 88 of Elsmere passed away peacefully on February 25, 2011.

Dorothy was a homemaker with an amazing gift of singing, yodeling, and whistling country/western music. Her talent and love for music lead her to perform with Cousin Lee on live radio in her early years. After raising her 4 children, she used her unique talent to perform for bands such as the Banjo Dusters and Star Lighters, as well as others who performed in the venues she and her late husband enjoyed attending in Wildwood, NJ and locally.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Alvin Cline, Sr. in 1994, and her son, Alvin Cline, Jr. in 2009. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Sharp, Nancy Buchanan; son, John Cline; granddaughter, Darnell Smith who she raised since birth, as well as 9 other grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at 11 a.m. at Gracelawn Memorial Park Chapel, 2220 North DuPont Pkwy., New Castle on Monday, March 7th. Friends may call at the chapel from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday morning. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
