Dorothy H. McCullin
Age 89 of Wilmington

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2015.

She was born Dorothy Wasielewski to the late John A. and Helen (Strzelachi) Washall. She grew up in the Hedgeville neighborhood of Wilmington, and graduated from Wilmington High School.

Dorothy married her husband, James McCullin, in January, 1946. Together they raised four children as residents of Elsmere. She was a dedicated parishioner of Corpus Christi Church for over 50 years. She worked at Kiddie World and at John Wanamaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. McCullin, Sr., her son, James P. McCullin, Jr., and her granddaughter, Michele Matruder. She is survived by her children, Patricia Deppen (Robert), Dennis McCullin (Anne), and Matthew McCullin (Christine); 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 901 New Road, Elsmere, on Monday morning, April 13, at 10:30 am. A viewing will take place at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, on Sunday evening, April 12, from 5:00-7:00 pm. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.
