Earl R. Elliott
"Bob"

Age 79, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 19, 2009 at Christiana Hospital.

Bob was a sheet metal mechanic for over 30 years. He worked for Services Unlimited and Thermal Energy. He retired in the late 1990's. Bob has been a resident of Lewes for the past ten years.

Bob was a longtime member of St. Ann R. C. Church in Wilmington. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a recipient of two Bronze Stars. Bob loved all types of fishing.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and enjoyed time with his Toy Poodle.

He was the son of the late Earl R. and Rosadele (Haynes) Elliott. He was also preceded in death by his wife Peg (Murphy) Elliott who died in March of 2005. He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen M. Karris and her husband Jack, Karen Elliott and her companion Marty Johnson; his grandson, Robert Elliott; his brother, Donny Elliott and his wife Wilma; his sisters Grace Vari, Peg Winstead and her husband Frank; and his many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Ann R. C. Church, N. Union St. & Gilpin Ave., Wilmington on Friday, October 23, at 9:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Thursday evening October 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
