"Ed"

Age 81, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2010.

Ed was a member of the IBEW Local 313 and worked for over 40 years as an electrician.

He was a longtime member of the Corpus Christi R. C. Church.

Ed was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and served as a paratrooper with the 188th Infantry Reg.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He belonged to many of the local sporting clubs.

Ed enjoyed his dogs and his garden.

Ed was the son of the late Edward A. Sr. and Sophie (Kempczynski) Boyle. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Marie Lynn Boyle. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joan I. (Walls) Boyle; his daughters, Elise J. (Boyle) Johnson and her husband Charles, and Regina "Gina" Boyle; his beloved grandchildren, Allison, Amanda, and Timothy; his brother, John H. Boyle and his wife Joan; his nieces, Valerie, Ronnie, and Marylee; and his son-in-law, Mickey Lynn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R. C. Church, 901 New Rd., Elsmere on Monday, August 16th at 12 noon. Friends may call at the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Monday morning from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Entombment in the Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
