Age 91, passed away peacefully at home in the comfort of his family on Friday, June 17, 2016.

Ed served his country with the 339th Fighter Group 8th Air Force in World War II, was the owner of Brandywine Waterproofing, enjoyed playing music with The Merry Men, and was a lifelong member of St. Elizabeth Parish, and was a football official with NDFOA.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pearl (Sontowski), and his son, Walter. He is survived by his son, Ed Purzycki; his daughter, Maria Jogani (Suken); 6 adoring grandchildren; and his devoted companion, Gigi Marcial.

The family would like to thank Steve and Keith for the loving care they showed our dad.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, on Wednesday, June 22, at 4:00 pm. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 3:00-4:00 pm. Interment will be private.
