Edward James Scott, Jr. age 83 of Wilmington passed away peacefully on August 20, surrounded by his loving family.

Edward was born on June 1, 1939 in Wilmington to the late, Edward J. Scott and Yolanda (Fugilino) Scott.

Edward held various jobs before working for General Motors, where he retired in 2000 after 37 years of service. Edward was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who had a true faith in God. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds. He enjoyed music, sports, fishing, crabbing and feeding the birds. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by is loving wife of 52 years, Joanne (Rybicki) Scott; and his brother, Malcolm Nicholas Scott.

Edward is survived by his daughter, Lisa Maney and her husband, David; his son, David Scott; grandchildren, David J. Maney, Jr. and Ashlee L. Maney; his sister, Kathleen Cuomo and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service for Edward on Wednesday, August, 31 at 11:00am at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 10-11 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
