Passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015.
Elaine was born in Wilmington, DE to the late John and Cassie (Ellis) Palmer. She was a graduate of P.S DuPont High School. Upon graduation, Elaine worked for E.I. duPont de Nemours & Co. in the Wilmington Office. Elaine spent much of her time raising her five children and loved spending time in Gransonville, MD at the family cottage.
She is preceded in death by her three sisters, Dorotha, Vira, and Elfreda; her brothers, John and Howard; and her loving husband, Harold Moore who died in 1999.
Elaine is survived by her children, Daniel W. Moore, II (Jeanne). Michele Woodrum, Michael Moore, Susan Caras (Harry), and Catherine Caputo. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Heather Voultos, Katie Woodrum, Danny, Kevin, and Laura Moore, Kristin, Nicholas, and Kendall Caras, Adam and Taylor Caputo; and her great granddaughter, Zoe Voultos.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 5th and Harmony St., New Castle, DE 19720, on Friday, March 13 at 11:30 am. Friends may call at the church from 10:30-11:30. Interment will be in Chesterfield Cemetery, Centreville, MD.
