Eleanor Emma (Sue) Clymer
Born September 21, 1927
Died April 24, 2010
Age 82 of Richmond, Virginia and a former longtime resident of Elsmere, DE passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010, in Richmond.
Sue was very active in the Red Clay Consolidated School District in the 70s and 80s. She was also involved in local, state and national politics as an advocate for the common people. Many Delaware State and U.S. Congressmen consulted with Sue to read the pulse of their constituents. She stood her ground on issues and told it like it was.
Sue was the daughter of the late William Pierce Catts and Eleanor Lafferty. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years William C. Clymer, Sr. in 2004. She is survived by her children Linda Ward of Monroeville, AL, Catherine Matzuras of Millsboro and William C. Clymer Jr. of Richmond, VA. Her grandchildren Dawn Langeheine of DE, Wayne Cahall of MS, Jason Light of CA, J.T. Ward of AL, and Bill and Bobby Clymer, both of VA; and her great grandchildren, Ian and Jordan Langeheine, Monica "Dani" Cahall and Jailyn Light also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at the Memorial Chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, DuPont Hwy., New Castle on Wednesday afternoon, April 28th at 2 pm. Friends may call at the Gracelawn Chapel from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will immediately follow the service in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
