Elizabeth "Liz" Bigum, 79, passed away peacefully in hospice care in Delaware after a long hard-fought battle with cancer on February 2nd 2026. She grew up on the East coast and in the Midwest and spent most of her adult life living in her beloved California before returning to the east coast to be near family.

Liz was a devoted sister to: Bruce, Anne, and Virginia "Ginny"; and aunt to Tiffany, Amanda, Graham, Tracy, and Jeremy. She is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends, and coworkers. Liz, a cherished daughter, was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Helen.

She was an administrative professional through most of her adult life attending secretarial school immediately following highschool. In the early years of our technical world, she expanded her knowledge of computers with extensive coursework; applying those skills in the workplace. Liz adored animals and was also a trusted petsitter.

Our Lizzie was a loving, caring, strong, fun-loving person. She enjoyed adventure, fashion, her family and friends, singing and dancing, shopping, and travel. She was a fierce warrior in her battle against cancer. She lived her life blissfully and enjoyed savoring cuisine delights like hamburgers and ice cream on a whim.

The family of Liz Bigum encourages you to honor her memory and playful nature by:

Savoring a delicious meal;

Dancing or singing with a smiling heart;

Enjoying the company of animals;

Or scheduling that special trip.

A memorial gathering and celebration of her life will be held at 5:30pm on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at:
