Elizabeth M. Fontello
(Nee) Ciccaglione
Age 87, died February 14, 2011 at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 15, 1923, born and raised in Wilmington. Devoted wife of the late Dominick Fontello who passed away on September 10, 2007. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Donato Ciccaglione as well as her brother, Joseph Ciccaglione, Mike Chicklo, Paul Ciccaglione; and sisters, Agnes Kruzinski, Rose Renarelli, and Mary Jaffe. She is survived by her brother, Alfonso Chicklo; sons, James Fontello and his wife Marie, and Kenneth Fontello; and her daughter Paula Hendrickson and her husband Benjamin with whom she lived with for 23 years. She dearly treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Deepest gratitude to Beverly Resila my Godsend guardian angel from Delaware Hospice.
Elizabeth was employed by the A&P Supermarkets for awhile and several different business ventures with her husband.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to travel and play the slot machines.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Fatima, 801 North DuPont Hwy., New Castle on Monday, February 21st at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday morning. Interment in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear at 1 p.m..
