Elizabeth Regina "Betty" Myers-Wilson
Age 79 of New Castle
Passed away peacefully on Augst 19, 2023.
Betty was born and raised in Old New Castle. She was a lifetime member of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church where she was a member of the Blessed Mother Sodality. She was a Radiology Technician for Christiana Hospital retiring after 48 years of dedicated service.
Betty liked to keep busy and had many hobbies. She was a member of Delaware Saegerbund. She loved to travel, especially bus trips through work and church. She was a talented bowler and accomplished at needlepoint and embroidery. Betty enjoyed music of all genres and loved cheering on the Blue Rocks, Phillies, and Eagles, and most of all she was an animal lover.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dec. John J. and Emma (Behornar) Becker, and her husband, Richard Wilson.
She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Joan Marie Huhn and Shirley Anne McKeown, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Coral Springs Nursing Home for making Betty feel loved and at home and the staff of Accent Hospice for their care during her final days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 521 Harmony St., New Castle, DE, on Friday, Aug 25 at 11:30am. Friends may call at the church from 10:30am-11:30am. Interment will take place privately.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made to St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church or Renee's Rescues.
