Elizabeth Marie Short

Age 21, of Wilmington, DE, left all who loved her on Sunday, December 6, 2009 suddenly at her home.

Elizabeth loved dearly and was loved dearly in return by all her family and friends. Elizabeth attended St. Anthony of Padua Grade School where she played basketball, softball, and volleyball, she attended St. Mark's High School, then graduated from St. Elizabeth High School class of 2006 where she also played basketball. She was a referee for CYM Basketball and was presently employed by Grotto Pizza while attending Del. Tech. Community College to pursue her dream of becoming a police officer so that she may help others. She is deeply loved and will be forever missed by her father, Terrence J. Short of New Castle, her mother and step-father Dawn A. and Richard E. Lamb, Jr. of Rehoboth Beach; her sister and partner Heather C. Short and Domenic Butler of Wilmington; her brother, Patrick Kuykendall-Short of Wilmington; her grandparents, Elizabeth Meck, James and Betty Fetters of Wilmington; her nieces, Hailey C. Short-Downes of New Castle, and Caitlin G. Short of Wilmington; her nephew, Christian J. Butler of Wilmington; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved so much.

She was preceded in death by her loving brother, Joshua M. Short; her grandmother, Marie F. Short, and her grandfathers Clarence A. Short and Willard W. Meck.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony R. C. Church, 9th and DuPont Sts., Wilmington on Friday, December 11th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church Thursday evening, December 10th from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. God bless our baby girl you will be missed for all eternity.
