It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Emily Fan, on September 9, 2026, at the age of 87 years young.

 She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her. Emily was the heart of our home and family. She raised three children, Catharine, Nancy, and Thomas in a happy and loving home to be independent and thoughtful adults. Emily was married for 55 years to Emil, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and friends. Emily was the heart of our family - the person everyone turned to for advice, comfort, and encouragement. Her kitchen was always open, her hugs were always comforting, and her laughter made even difficult days feel lighter. She had a deep love for family traditions, holidays spent together, and the simple joy of being surrounded by the people she loved most. She taught us the value of compassion, resilience, and finding happiness in everyday moments. Emily found joy in simple things - gardening, cooking family dinners, holidays together, and sharing stories around the table. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and food, a place where everyone felt safe. She was the heart and soul of our family and she will be dearly missed. 

A small family memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26th at 11:30am at Valley Forge Memorial 352 S. Gulph Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406.

Though our hearts are heavy, we are deeply grateful for the gift of her life. Her love shaped us, her wisdom guides us still, and her memory will remain with us forever.
