Eric S. Campbell
Age 68 of Wilmington

Passed away peacefully in his home on March 30, 2025.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Enrichetta (Zinni) Campbell and his brothers, Patrick B. Campbell Jr. and Michael F. Campbell.

He grew up in Wilmington and at the age of 18, inspired by his love of the ocean, he enlisted in the Coast Guard. After he returned home Eric opened his own security business. He took great pride in serving the community as the sole operator of LPD Alarms since 1980.

When Eric wasn't working, he loved to be by the water. His favorite times were spent boating, crabbing, jet skiing, or simply sitting on the beach with a bloody mary in hand listening to the ocean. Eric was an avid reader enjoying a variety of books from historical to construction. Eric was a jack of all trades and always able to fix things around anyone's house. He had every tool imaginable. His humble and confident nature made everyone feel at ease. Eric's warm heart and quirky nicknames for everyone were his most endearing traits. "Mr. Eric" will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by the love of his life, Barbara "Blondie" Maddams. Eric is also survived by Barbara's many friends and relatives who became a second family to him.

Visitation will take place at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Friday, April 4 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, 809 S. Broom St., Wilm., DE 19805, on Saturday, April 5 at 9:30am. Burial will be private.
