Eugene A. Pivinski
Age 93 of Wilmington
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, October 26, 2018.
Eugene was born May 4, 1925 in Wilmington to the late Helen (Radka) and Anthony Pivinski. He joined the United States Navy and faithfully served his country during WWII. Upon returning home, Eugene went to work as a printer pressman retiring after many dedicated years.
Eugene had many hobbies and interests. He loved dancing and listening to music, especially Frank Sinatra. He was a Phillies fan. Eugene enjoyed family trips to North Wildwood and discussing politics with anyone. But most of all Eugene treasured the time he spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Josephine (Veltre) Pivinski; his son-in-law, John Szewczyk; and grandson, Stephen Szewczyk.
Eugene will be dearly missed by his daughters, Jacqueline Szewczyk, Marian Pivinski, Betty Bennett (Bruce), Stephanie Fleetwood (Brian), and Jeanette Rohrer (Jerry); his 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Snyder.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 901 New Rd,. Wilm., DE 19805, on Friday, Nov 2 at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the church from 10:00am-11:00am. Interment will follow mass at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Eugene's name to Special Olympics, 619 S College Ave, Newark, DE 19716.
