Evelyn M. Covelli-Branda

On June 16, 2012 Evelyn went to be with the Lord at the age of 87.

Evelyn was a lifelong resident of New Castle. She was employed with the Delaware State Police and was retired from New Castle County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmine and Dolores DiAngelo; her brother, William DiAngelo; her husband of 49 years, Emmett M. Covelli; and her son, E. Frank Covelli.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Frank Branda; her daughter, Patricia Capano-Ettinger (Chuck) and her grandchildren, Deneen Capano-Sumey (Bill), Carmine Capano (Kim) and great- grandsons, Emmett and Carmine; her daughter Frances A. Covelli and her grandchildren, Donna Walling, Kelly Volker (Eric), and Nicole Freso, her great-grandchildren, Amanda Leonard (Wayne), Jeff, Lauren, Matt, Kelsey, Courtney, and Chloee; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Catherine Pritchard, Dorothy Octavio; her brother, Joseph DiAngelo (Diane); her sister-in-law, Caroline A. Covelli; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Evelyn loved life. She enjoyed going out for dinner and spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by everyone who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter R. C. Church, 5th & Harmony Sts., New Castle on Wednesday morning, June 20, 2012 at 11 am. Friends may call at the church from 9:30-11 am at the church. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery, in Holy Family Crypt, Wilmington.
