Evelyn Ruggerio Tidwell
Age 89 of Middletown

Evelyn was born on January 8, 1936, and passed away on December 8, 2025, at home with her family by her side. She was just a month shy of her 90th Birthday.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years James K. Tidwell, Sr.; her grandson, Cody Bader; her parents, Louis Sr. and Anna Ruggerio; her siblings, Dorothy Baldo, Lorraine Ferguson, Joann Tidwell, Rose Cammock, Ann Mason, and Louis Ruggerio Jr.

She will be dearly missed by her devoted daughters, Cynthia Willard (Craig) and June Strosnider Bader (Tommy); her grandchildren, whom she adored, Craig Willard (Melissa), Dane Strosnider Jr. (Suzanna), Madison Strosnider (Kevin), and Taylor Strosnider; her great- grandchildren, Mason, Logan, Clayton, Weston, Myla, Shia, Abel, Adrianna, Mia, Zoey, and Khole; and her loyal grand dog, Shady. She is also survived by her brother, Nicholas Ruggerio and many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, making this loss immeasurable. She spent her life giving of herself to her family, which always remained her top priority. Evelyn was a positive light, staying strong through all life's battles. Life with her was warm, safe, and loving. She will be remembered for her patience, kindness, and wisdom.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Delaware Hospice, especially nurse Valerie and nurse aide Nicole, for their exceptional care and love.

Evelyn's service will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery.
