Felipe Gonzalez, age 97, passed away on Septmeber 23,2106 at seasons Hospice in Christiana Hospital. In his youth he enjoyed riding horses & working in agriculture in his native Puerto Rico. He was married for 45 years to Juana Gonzalez and in 1967 he moved his wife & children from Puerto Rico to Delaware where he worked for 10 years at Memorial Hospital. Felipe enjoyed spending time with his family, loved singing church hymns, & going to church. Felipe was loving, just, family-oriented, a hard worker & overall a great human being. He is survived by his four children; Mercedes, Rosa, Felix, Aleida; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Relatives and friends may are invited to attend the service for Felipe at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Willmington., DE 19805, on Tuesday, September 27 at 12 noon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00am-12:00pm. Interment will take place in Silverbrook Cemetery.
