Obituary

Passed away on December 21, 2014.
Frank was born to the late Sarah and Aleksander Garneski in New Castle, DE.
He was a loving man who cared deeply for his wife, children, and all his family and friends. Frank served in the Air Force during the Korean War and proudly became a member of the VFW American Legion unit 28 of Millsboro, DE. Frank retired from the News Journal after 40 years of dedicated service as a pressman. He was a passionate hunter, fisherman, and water loving man. He had a quick wit and always a new joke to tell.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Alice May; children, Linda Gretchen McWilliams and Philip C. Garneski; granddaughter, Bianca; brother Alexander Garneski; sister, Josephine Barbizzi; and sons-in-law, Chuck Callanan and Francis X. Bleyer, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Stella Callanan, Threase Wierzbicki, Sarah Bleyer, and Francis X., Jr. and his wife, Karen; grandchildren, Walter, Mirinda, Gillian, Bryna, Sarah Mary, Celeste, Heather, Allison, and Frank III; along with 11 great-grandchildren. Frank is also survived by his brother, John Garniewski and his wife, Eleanor, and his sister, Cecelia Garneski; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would also to give a "Special Thank You" to Uncle Louie A., for always helping and caring for Frank.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Tuesday, December 30 at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 34 W. 6th St. New Castle, DE, 12:30pm -1:30pm. Interment will Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
