Obituary

Frank P. Billbrough, Sr.
Age 79 of Lincoln

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 25, 2024.

Frank was born and raised in Essington, PA. He affectionately called himself a true swamp rat. After graduating from Eddystone High School in 1963, Frank enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He faithfully served his country for two tours during the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart along with several other prestigious awards.

Once Frank returned home, he worked as a machinist for the Boeing and Speakman Companies. He also worked for the US Postal Service for many years before his retirement.

Frank found peace in retiring to Lower Delaware where he spent time with family and was always happy to try his luck at the local casinos. But most of all Frank enjoyed spending time on his boat, fishing.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Cheryl (Mullet) Billbrough, and his feline friend, Boots.

He is survived by his three sons, Curtice Hardy, Robert Hardy (Linda), and Frank Jr (Melissa); his daughter, Denise; and his eight loving grandchildren, Erica, Gary, Anthony, Kevin, Ricky, Adayna, Mason, and Jaden. Frank is also survived by his dear friend Chris Banner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Wednesday, Sept 4 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.
