Frank M. Capuano
Age 85, passed away peacefully at The Compassionate Care Center at St Francis Hospital on Saturday. May 22. 2010
Frank retired from the G.M. Boxwood Rd. Assembly Plant as a millwright foreman after 38 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of W.W. II who proudly served on the U.S.S. Pandemus in the South Pacific.
Frank was a long-time member of Corpus Christi R.C. Church. He faithfully served there as an usher for many years. After his retirement from General Motors, Frank faithfully devoted his time to repairing and improving the facilities at St. Anthony's in the Hills. He also spent many hours repairing the equipment for St. Anthony's Italian Festival.
Frank was the son of the late John A. and Loretta (Castaldi) Capuano. He was just recently preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, A. Elizabeth Capuano. He is survived by his children: Richard M. Capuano and his wife, Blanche, Joanne Benoit, John A. Capuano and his wife, Sue, Patricia C. Harris and her husband, Bill; his beloved grandchildren Stacey, Mike, Erik, Gregory, Nichole, Megan, Billy and Robby; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi RC Church, 901 New Road, Elsmere, on Wednesday, May 26, at 10:30 am. Friends may call at the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, on Tuesday, May 25, from 6-8 pm. Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
